With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James William Hurt of Cornelia, Georgia, born in Mount Airy, Georgia, who passed away on January 17, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clarence "JC" Hurt and Ollie James Hurt; his son Johnny Lee Hurt; and his sons-in-law, Kim Lawson and Terry Osborn.
He is survived by: his wife Janice L. Hurt of Cornelia; and his daughters, Elaine (Wayne Higgins) of Cornelia, Cathy Hurt Lawson of Cornelia and Myra Osborn of Cornelia. He is also survived by six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
