He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Fred Ramey and Ethel Irene Trotter Ramey; his wife Virginia Ellen Crane Ramey; his sons, Keith Ramey, Dwayne Ramey and Jerry Ramey; and his siblings, Irene Bloodworth, Mary Lovell and William Thomas Ramey.
He is survived by: his son Larry; his daughter-in-law Virginia Allen Ramey of Toccoa; and his children, Steve Ramey of Baldwin and Reginia Gail Woodward of Cornelia. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
