She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Chitwood and Icie Watkins Chitwood; her husband Frank "Buddy" Higgins; her children, Charlotte Higgins, Norma Jean Higgins and Phil Higgins; and her grandchildren, Kenny Higgins, Darrell Higgins and Angie Gibby.
She is survived by: her son Wayne; her daughter-in-law Elaine Higgins of Cornelia; her daughters, Marilyn Foster of Cornelia, Ginger Gunn of Cornelia, Phyllis Rasnick of Cornelia and Pam; and her son-in-law Kevin Shelnut of Cleveland. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
