He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hobson and Jewell Marie Caudell Hobson; and his siblings, Myer Leon Hobson, Esta Belle Keller, Juanita Clouatre, Daisy Maldonado Hobson and Greta Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Nix Hobson of Cornelia; his daughter Teresa; his son-in-law Dan Roberts of Baldwin; his son Donald; his daughter-in-law Lorie Hobson of Mt. Airy; his brother James Monroe "Rosie" Hobson; his grandchildren, Brooks, Becca Roberts, Ridge, Rainlan Hobson, Jennifer, Devin Banfield, Susan, Levi Morgan, Matthew Ward, Adam Ward and Audra Cloer; and his great grandchildren, Branson, Audrey and Sadie.
