He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Murray and Nina Holbrooks Murray; and his nephew James Robert Ray Murray. He is survived by: his brothers, James Murray of Cornelia and Donald Murray (Linda) of Mt. Airy; his caregiver Carolyn Dill of Cornelia; and his daughters, Heather Murray (Adam Norman) of Mt. Airy and Vanessa Friend (Ryan) of Chatsworth. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
