She was predeceased by: her parents, McGruder Bishop and Virginia Lucille Byrd Bishop; her husband JB Heard; her son Joseph Billy Heard; her grandson Jordan Mack Dallas Hood; her stepfather Mark Marlor; and her sisters, Agnes Heath, Catherine Hamby and Mary Donaldson.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Heard (Linda) of Cumming, Alvin Heard (Sandy) of Cornelia, Joel Benjamin Heard of Cornelia, Sandy Heard of Cornelia, Sandra Hood of Clarkesville, Anna Heard of Cornelia and Cindy Heard of Alpharetta; and her siblings, Andrew "Bud" Bishop of Powder Springs, Margaret Bennett of Powder Springs, Brenda Priest of Villa Rica and Edna Chaffin of Douglasville. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
