She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Harold Dickerson and Juanita Eathelle Hamby Dickerson. She is survived by: her husband Leroy Carter of Cordele; her children, Dee Carter Ingram of Cordele and Greg Carter of Cordele; her siblings, W. F. Dickerson (Ann) of Cordele, Harold Dickerson, Jr. (Tracy) of Cordele and Larue White (Charles) of Kansas City, KS; her grandchildren, Abbie Wiggins (Justin), Hollie Moore (Johnathan), Sydney Carter, Arden Carter, Joe Carter and Max Carter; and her great grandchildren, Cohen Nipper, Sawyer Moore, Folsom Wiggins and Eva Lee Wiggins. She is also survived by her husband, two children, and grandchildren.
