We are sad to announce that on March 14, 2025, Walter Oris Cannon Jr. of Cordele, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Oris Cannon, Sr. and Marjorie Evelyn Vaughn Cannon. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Badgett Cannon; his children, Rebecca Lunsford of Huntsville, AL, Chris Lunsford (Annette) of Nashville, TN, David Davis (Jamie) of Jacksonville, FL and Bradley Davis of Cordele; his sisters, Cheryl Kay Cannon of Charleston, SC and Dianne Ridell (John) of Alpharetta; and his grandchildren, Jacob Mesa, Jaylon Porter, Peyton Davis and Destani Hayden. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Rainey Funeral Services (1415 E 24th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Cemetery (1301 Riverside Dr, Macon, GA 31201).
