He was predeceased by: his parents, Mont "Wheelis" Newton and Fannie Mae Griggs; his brothers, Arthur Newton, James Wilbur Newton and Herbert Newton; and his great grandchild Presleigh Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Newton of Albany; his children, Ricky Newton (Rachel) of Ocilla and Becky Cole (Truman) of Albany; his grandchildren, Nikki Lee of Lania Newton, T. J, Travis Perry and Travis Cole; and his great grandchildren, Reagan Ballew, Karsyn Ballew, Hayden Ballew, Tucker Newton, Payton Newton, Fraya Lee, Braydon Cole and Shane Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
