We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2024, Shirley Bagwell Carter of Cordele, Georgia, born in Cullman, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dwight Carter; her parents, Jess Bagwell and Ora Powell Bagwell; her siblings, Marie Jeffers and Charles Bagwell; and her siblings-in-law, Henry C. Ingram, John D. Jeffers Sr. and Mary Carter Williams.
She is survived by: her sisters, Geraldine B. Mann (Joe) and LaVerne Ingram; her nieces and nephews, Kameron Causey (Michael), Bob Mann, Nona Jones, Julianne Drenon, Jennifer Mann, John D. Jeffers Jr. (Dena) and Pam Szabo (Robin); and her caregiver Maximo Torres.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Zion Hope Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
