He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Duain Cornelious Newsome and Annie Juanita Hunt Newsome; his wife Georgia Ann Brookerd Newsome; and his sister Carol Newsome Ross. He is survived by: his son Christopher Newsome (Marla) of Dublin; his sister Teresa Newsome Taft (Gregg) of Warner Robins; his grandchildren, Elijah Newsome, Brennan Newsome and Logan Newsome; his brother Monty Penn (Jayme); and his brother-in-law Danny Ross.
