He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Dewitt Stewart and Zula Clements Stewart; and his brothers, Keith Stewart, Carlos Stewart and Bobby Stewart (Betty).
He is survived by: his siblings, Billy Stewart (Sandra) of Albany, GA, Jean Craven (Gary) of Gadsen, AL and Larry Stewart (Carol) of Vienna, GA.; his wife Mary Cape Stewart of Cordele; his children, Richard Stewart (Ruth) of Cordele, Regina Chastain of Jacksonville, FL, Andrea Tyler (Rob) of Cordele and Stacey Posey (Mark) of Cordele; and his grandchildren, Laura Stewart Jones, Drew Stewart (Stephanie), Anna Posey Jackson (Justin), Corey Stewart, Maygen Posey Eavenson (Ben), Robert Tyler (Chelsea), Stewart Tyler (Kennedy), Adam Posey, Logan Chastain, Josh Aultman (Adryan) and Ashley Burnette. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
