It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Watson Burnette of Cordele, Georgia, born in Seville, Georgia, who passed away on March 13, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Jefferson Watson and Essie Mitchell Watson; her husband Limuel "Al" Burnette; her children, Jim Burnette and Mary Janis Burnette; and her siblings, Roscoe Watson, Ruby Watson Davis, Inez Watson Hilton Powell, Christine Watson Goodwin, Bessie Watson Clark, Otha Watson, Estelle Watson Bragg and Ethelle Watson Thornton.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Burnette (Mary Ann) of Cookeville and Jerry Burnette (Chris) of Fort Myers, Florida; her grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Tiffany, Ariel and Mitchell; and her great grandchildren, Kyra and Talia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
