He was predeceased by: his father Reid Daniel Wells; and his wife Susie Ann Wilson Wells. He is survived by: his children, James Wells, Jerry Wells, Johnny Wells, Roscoe Wells, Jesse Herndon, Linda Thompson, Ann Taggart, Leslie Layfield and Juanita Cuddle. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
