She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred James Dorminey; her parents, Jack Dowdy and Lettie Hollingsworth Dowdy; and her siblings, Buford Dowdy, Glenn Dowdy, Edward Dowdy of Grady Dowdy, W. T and Ruth Moore.

She is survived by: her sister Wilma Branch of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
