He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Sanchez Johnson and Margaret Wincey Johnson; and his wife Sandra Shehee Johnson. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Barbara Brysch; and his nieces and nephews, Lorey Johnson, Marcy Rhodes (Richie), Wendy Peavy, Jane White (Mike), Linda Haliburton (Erle), Mac Alexander (Geri) and Johnny Alexander.
