He was predeceased by: his sister Patricia Garner; and his father-in-law Everett Adkins. He is survived by: his wife Melody Mendenhall of Cordele; his children, Brandon Mendenhall (Brittany) of Ashburn and Holly Mendenhall of Cordele; his parents, Kearney Mendenhall, Sr. of Walkertown, N. C. and Emily Mendenhall of Walkertown, N. C.; his sister Teresa Johnson (Jon) of Walkertown, N. C.; his mother-in-law Wanda Adkins of Cordele; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Garner of North Georgia and Keith Adkins (Donna) of Cordele.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Third Street Baptist Church (307 3rd St S, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
His grandchildren Jayden Mendenhall, Blake Mendenhall, and Amelia Jane Mendenhall also survive and will miss their "Papa."The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Third Street Baptist Church, 307 N. 3rd St, Cordele, GA 31015.
