It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wilson Floyd Jr. of Cordele, Georgia, born in Ridgeland, South Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Floyd, Sr. and Eunice Popham Floyd; and his sisters, Betty Inman and Rose Anne Raber. He is survived by: his wife Judy J. Floyd; his sons, Jason Floyd (Brigett) of Cordele and Trae Floyd of Cordele; his sister Mary Malphus of Beaufort, SC; his grandchildren, Jarrett Floyd of Cordele, Julian Floyd of Cordele, Beau Floyd of Cordele, Lola Grace Floyd of Cordele and John Wilson Floyd, IV of Cordele; and his siblings-in-law, Dianne Matthews and Morris Jones (Zelda) of Lagrange.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pinecrest Baptist Church (1007 E 19th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
