He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Nutt and Ruby Holly Nutt; his son Henry Coley Nutt; and his siblings, Archie Nutt, Charles Nutt, Ray Nutt, Bennett Nutt and Tanny Nutt.
He is survived by: his wife Sharron Nutt; his children, Sherry Smith (Jerry) of Cordele, Michelle Rountree (Marty) of Cordele and James Lee Nutt, Jr. (Daphne Freeman) of Rebecca; his sisters, Mary Ellen Lucas (Jimmy) of Pinehurst, Alice Turner (Jerry) of Vienna, Rosa Fite of Cumming, Emma Brent of Ashburn and Nancy Crowe of Warner Robins; his sister-in-law Jean Nutt of Conyers; his grandchildren, April Smith, Heather, Corey Daye, Haley Holt, Braydon Rountree (Charlie), Clay Rountree, Dillian Coleman and Staci Coleman; and his great grandchildren, Riley Carswell, Jade Mixon, Colton Smith, Kaiser Whittington, Skyler Adkins, Colee Holt and Ivy Rae Rountree.
