He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Yawn; his children, Gerald Hawkins and Deborah Barron; his parents, James Lee Yawn and Gwendolyn Yawn (Clark); and his siblings, Ray Yawn and Gaylor Chambers (Yawn). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
