He was predeceased by: his parents, Hudson Reeves Arthur, Sr. and Martha Culler Sasser Pitts; his stepfather William E. Pitts; and his brother-in-law Walton Moore. He is survived by: his son Paul Arthur (Shelley); his grandchildren, Riley Arthur and Presley Kelley; his sisters, Nancy A. Moore of Gainesville, Carol Burgess of McDonough and Becky P Braswell (Todd) of Monroe; and his stepbrothers, David W. Pitts (Carroll) of Cordele and Donald J. Pitts (Joni) of Cordele.
