She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Polke; her parents, Andrew Cheek and Trilla Burgess Cheek; and her siblings, Kathleen Coleman (Warren), Harold Cheek (Carolyn), Martelle Royal (Jimmy) and Rdelia Smith (Hubert).
She is survived by: her daughters, Garnie (Steve Mitchell) and Charissa (Tom Carter) of Cordele; her grandchildren, Amanda M. Personette (Jason) of Roswell, Stephen Mitchell (Carla) of Pendergrass, Laura Leigh Tillman (Johnathon) of San Francisco, CA, John Thomas Carter, Jr. (Lauren) of Marietta and Carter; and also, Collette Personette, Piper Personette, Bowen Michell and Emma Rae Mitchell.
