It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Louise Powell of Cordele, Georgia, born in Rebecca, Georgia, who passed away on September 1, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Baker and Lizzie Mae Pitts Baker; her husband James Powell; her son James; her children-in-law, Twylla Powell and Frank Herrington; and her grandchildren, Brittany Henson and Anthony Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Herrington of Cordele, Roy (Tina Powell) of Cordele, John Powell of Cordele, Patricia Mallard (Christian Sheaffer) of Cordele, Donna (Chris Barry), Wanda (Robert Potter) and Larry (Lisa Powell); and her daughter-in-law Marie Powell of Cordele. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
