He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Elbert Ray, Sr. and Frances Irene Gaines Ray. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McLanahan Ray of Cordele, GA; his children, Jennifer Ray Pless (Kyle Pless) of Cordele, GA and Jonathan David Ray (Lara Vaughn Ray) of Athens, GA; and his grandchildren, Baylor Pless and Ava Pless of Cordele, GA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
