She was predeceased by: her parents, John Layton and Ida Lindsey; her husband Rev. Thurmond Collins, Sr.; her son Lindsey Lee Collins; and her brothers, Cecil Lindsey, Hansel Lindsey and R. J. Lindsey.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Collins (Carol) of Pineview and Cheri Slade (Greg) of Cordele; and her grandchildren, Chris Collins (Regina), Cara Jones (Kevin), Cassie Bartlett (W. G.), Cayle Anderson (Rondell), Lindsey Marie Perara (Matt), Michelle Carswell, Lindi Reid (Josh), Libbi Childers (Taylor), Rob Slade (Adrienne) and Dana "Peach" Slade. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
