He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Delbert and Uhla McKeehan Leger; his sister Bernita L. Garner; and his son Charles E. Leger. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Batchelor Leger; his children, Susan Leger-Boike (Mark), Sherrie L. Leverett (John), Maria L. Coslett (Bill) and James Gregory Leger; his grandchildren, Kelly Norton (Stephanie), Morrie Whittington (Ashley), Nick Leger (Evangeline), Cole Leger and Bailey Leger (Hunter Slade); his stepgrandchildren, Jarrett Leverett (Savannah) and Lauren Jones (Trey); his great grandchildren, Rosario Norton, Zoe Norton, Ali Norton, Averie Whittington and Eli Whittington; and his siblings, Jane L. Smith, Martha L. Hobbs and Jack Leger (Ann).
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rainey Family Funeral Service Chapel (1415 E 24th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (Cordele, GA 31015).
