She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Ray Vaughan and Elsie Martin; and her sister Melva Rae Vaughan. She is survived by: her husband Earle P. Jones of Cordele; her children, Shannon Johnson of San Marcos, Britt Johnson (Kristen Deitrick) of Peachtree City, Georgia, Shelley Johnson of Braselton, Tom Jones (Cindy) of Gray and Lori McPherson (Steve) of Augusta; her grandchildren, Gordon, Caleb, Lucas, Jace, Gavin, Ethan, Brian, Carolyn and Wesley; and her great grandchild Wren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hughes & Wright Funeral Home, Inc. (1010 E 8th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in Barbara's memory to The Alzheimer's Association (https://shorturl.at) and The American Diabetes Association (https://shorturl.at) or a charity of your choice.
