She was predeceased by : her husband Sammie Mitchell of Mitchell's Bait; her parents, Roy Lee and Annie Rogers Coleman; and her brothers, Carlos Coleman and James Coleman.

She is survived by : her children, Mark, Brenda Mitchell of Newnan, Jimmy and Dionne Mitchell of Cordele; her brothers, Sonny Coleman of Cordele and Larry Coleman of Panama City, FL; her sister-in-law Shirley Coleman; and her grandchildren, Carrie Mitchell, David Mitchell, Sheila Meshanko (Paul), Holly Arrington and Kasey Colston (Jamie).

Visitation was held on Monday, July 8th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Rainey Funeral Services (1415 E 24th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 8th 2024 at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
