She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Pope, Jr. and Mary Bessie Massey Pope; her spouse Bennie Strickland; her daughter Linda Gail Strickland Braswell; and her grandson Justin Strickland.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Strickland (Barbara) of Coolidge, GA, James Stanley Strickland (Sandra) of Coolidge, GA, Pamela Drummond (Bob) of Thomasville, GA, Sandra Abraham (Blaine) of Coolidge, GA, Roger Philip Strickland (Linda Ann) of Ochlocknee, GA and Timothy Strickland (Candace) of Coolidge, GA; and her son-in-law Carl Braswell of Cairo, GA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
