He was predeceased by: his father Fred McDuffie Smith; his siblings, Delores Smith Holcomb and Fred McDuffie Smith, Jr.; and his granddaughter Brittany Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia E. Aycock Smith; and his sons, Thomas Jeffrey Smith (Colleen), Michael Anthony Smith (Kim) and James Brent Smith (Jennie). He is also survived by 6 grandsons; 2 granddaughters, 7 great-grandsons and 5 great-granddaughters.
