He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Ethell and Lissie Viola Rabon; and his brothers, Rowland Rabon, William Rabon and Zeb Rabon.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Rabon; his son Walter; his daughter-in-law Kathie Rabon, Jr.; his grandchildren, Walter Rabon, III, Wyatt, Olivia Rabon and Westin Rabon; and his sister Gladys Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Missions at Zion Baptist Church.
