Ponder and Dorothy Ann Ponder (Williams); his grandchildren, Antonio Ponder, Kanika Montgomery, Jessica Ponder (Wiggins) and Ada Ponder; and his sisters, Annie Lee Ponder, Dorothy Ponder (Smith), Mary Ann Ponder (Franklin) and Louise Ponder. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
