Mattie Lou Hammonds Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Lou Hammonds of Conyers, Georgia, who passed away on October 19, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Connell and Fannie Connell; her husband Charles Hammonds Sr.; her son Eddie Hammonds; her son-in-law John Wallace; and her sister Myra Dobbs.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Wallace and Steve; her daughters-in-law, Tammy Hammonds and Brenda Hammonds; her grandchildren, Kimberly (David Gantt), Leann (Jason VanLandingham), Beth (Tim Whitaker), Alyssa (Conner Hitch), David Lambertson (Andrew Lambertson), John (Channa Rychlicki) and Kimby (Junichi Takatsu); and her close friend Laura Jean Christian (Jack). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
