He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Louise Bell Middlebrooks; his daughter Jacqueline Middlebrooks Townley; and his son-in-law James Benny Townley. He is survived by: his parents, Robert Middlebrooks and Mary Ellis Middlebrooks; his son Douglas Lamar; his children-in-law, Gayle Middlebrooks, Bobby Turner, Darlene Middlebrooks Turner, Jimmy Turner and Marlene Middlebrooks Turner; and his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Medina, Luis Medina, Randall Townley, Terri Townley, Dan Middlebrooks, Connie Middlebrooks, Derrick Middlebrooks, Tonia Middlebrooks, Scott Turner, Lisa Turner, Brent Turner, Michelle Turner, Kimberly Kelly, Butch Kelly, Cory Turner and Lauren Turner. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
