She was predeceased by: her mother Kathleen Mitchell Flynt; her husband A. R. Barksdale (Gus); and her son Brett. She is survived by: her cousin Big; her children, Wales Flynt Barksdale (Angela), Augustus Randolph Barksdale (Gail) and Kathleen Mitchell Barksdale; and her grandchildren, Kathy Giles (Stephen), Reagan Barksdale (Taylor), Jay Barksdale (Lisa), Blair Barksdale, Guinn Shropshire (Clayton), Flynt Barksdale (Dana), Kathlyn Pattillo, Gus Pattillo and Ali Pattillo. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Green Meadow Memorial Gardens (699 American Legion Rd NE, Conyers, GA 30012). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Conyers Presbyterian Church (911 North Main St NW, Conyers, GA 30012).
