It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim McGrath of Conyers, Georgia, who passed away on January 28, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father James Joseph McGrath Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Mills McGrath; his mother Betty Rose Brown; his siblings, Ottis Moore (Irene) and Lisa McGrath; his children, James Mason McGrath and Katelyn McGrath Worley (Russell); and his grandson Wyatt Elkins Worley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that a donation be made at the American Kidney Fund http://www.kidneyfund.org or plant your favorite variety of tomato bush this spring in his memory.

“i had the pleasure of having Jimmy as one of my best friends 51 years ago at St. Pius high school. I was very insecure and he was completely fearless. He had the deepest and most infectious laugh that would sweep you up into joy. Along with Matt, Pete and Tommy Lammers, the 5 of us formed a close group that had sleepovers, went camping in the mountains, attended music concerts and had way too much fun facing the world together. Though we lost touch in our mid-twenties i have always loved him.”
