He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Nicholson and Melvin Nicholson; and his siblings, Charles Nicholson, Donald Nicholson, Jimmy Nicholson, Michael Nicholson and Elaine McCullough.

He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Nicholson (Jody) of Young Harris, GA, Randy Nicholson of Jackson, Jeffrey Nicholson of Sugar Valley and Roger Nicholson of Cleveland; and his siblings, Annette Ledbetter (Paul) of Jackson, Peggy McCullough of Lithonia and Donice Nicholson of McDonough. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
