He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Kimbsey and Sarah Frances Farmer; his former wife Mary C. Farmer; his wife Jauneaise Farmer; his son Ronnie Wayne Farmer; and his siblings, Howard Farmer, Lewis Farmer, Bob Farmer, Elizabeth Daily, Merle Harber and Gail Martin.

He is survived by: his son James Randy; his daughter-in-law Ethel Farmer of Conyers; and his grandchildren, James Ronnie and Sharron Suzanne. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
