He is survived by: his wife Betty Weston Thurston; his children, Dayna Gunter, John, Lorrie Thurston, Dinnie Meeker (Kevin), Darol Musk (Danny) and Jim Gottschalk; and his siblings, Jerry Thurston and Marian Bryson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
