She was predeceased by: her parents, Effie Cloteal Brown-Brisco and Monroe "Deuce" Brisco (Sidney A. Sims, Jr.); her mother-in-law Mary Belle Brown; and her grandson Alfred "Doo" Johnson IV. She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Smith (Mike), Angela Sims-Winfrey, Antionette Sims-Jones (Anthony), Anna Sims-Martin and Paula Ballard (Christopher); her godson Reginald Franklin; and her cousins, Elouise and Warren Williams. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
