He was predeceased by: his parent A. R. Barksdale (Gus). He is survived by: his mother Kathlyn Flynt; his siblings, Wales, Randolph (Gail) and Katy; his nieces and nephews, Blair Barksdale, Guinn Shropshire (Clayton), Flynt Barksdale (Dana), Kathy Giles (Stephen), Reagan (Taylor), Jay Barksdale (Lisa), Kathlyn, Gus and Ali Pattillo; and his aunt Margaret. He is also survived by 16 great nieces and nephews.
