In the sacred silence of farewell, Betty Jo is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Betty Jo's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Weston and Margaret Vinton Weston; and her husband James Bell Thurston. She is survived by: her children, Dayna Gunter, John, Lorrie Thurston, Dinnie Meeker (Kevin), Darol Mask (Danny) and Jim Gottschalk. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home (212 E College St, Jackson, GA 30233). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel (212 E College St, Jackson, GA 30233).
