He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Merrell; and his parents, Barron Merrell and Irene Fullington. He is survived by: his son Barry Merrell; his daughter-in-law Louanne Merrell of Donald Merrell; his daughter Duna Cummings; his son-in-law Keith Cummings; his grandchildren, Sandy, Ted Bozeman, Lauren, Ana Cesar, Kevin Merrell, Glenn Merrell and Chris Cummings; and his great grandchildren, Reece, Ragen and Rylan Bozeman.
