She was predeceased by: her parent Mattie Morgan Walthall; her daughter Wanda Faye Herndon; her parent Mattie Payne; her grandchildren, Jason Scott (Julie), Ashley Turner (Keon), Tia Herndon and Ronald Herndon Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Anthony Turner, Kylie Turner, Olivia Scott, Gabriel and Holden Scott.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Herndon and Donald Herndon (Alvenia); and her sisters, Ivy Herndon (Olander), Dosie Patrick, Barbara Loriece Payne and Thomas Hamlett (Dorsie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
