He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Laine and Marjorie Boggs Laine; and his daughter Mary Bethany Laine. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Laine; his children, Sarah Laine, Aaron Laine, Randa Kelsall-Hardwick (Joe), Cody Perry and Kayleigh Perry; his grandchildren, Macy, Charlie, Ethan, Evan and Liam; his siblings, Thomas Laine, Phyllis McDurmont, Scott Dungan and Sherry Campion; and his aunt Kathy L. Boggs-Cabrera. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
