He was predeceased by : his wife Betty Garner Tanksley. He is survived by : his children, John Russell Tanksley, Beverley Sue Tanksley, Eddie William Sr. (Nyssa Leigh Tanksley) and Wendell Marvin (Donna Tanksley). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
