It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle Burkett of Concord, Georgia, born in New York, New York, who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward A. F. Mittelsteadt and Evelyn Hazel MacIntosh Mittelsteadt. She is survived by : her husband Wayne Louis Burkett; her children, Edward W. Burkett (Sharon) of Framingham and Janice Burkett Davis of East Bethel, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Eleanor, Natalie, Theodore Burkett of Framingham, MA, Amanda, Brett and Christian Davis of East Bethel, MN; her brother-in-law William E. Burkett (Jaye); her nephew William G. Burkett (Bobbi Jean); her daughter Callie; her niece Sandra B. Coughlin (Bryan); her children, Liam and Louisa; and her cousins, Susan K. Ellinghaus (Robert), Kevin Burke (Nadine), Alison Winters (Richard) and Glynis Eble (Raymond).
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date when the Covid-19 virus subsides.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grand Chapter of Georgia Service Dogs Fund, P.O. Box 2436, Kennesaw, GA 30156.
