He was predeceased by: his mother Imogene Coggins Nixon; his stepfather Willie "Sam" Nixon; his father Virgil Lewis Williams, Sr.; his siblings, Virgil Lewis Williams, Jr. and Sandra May; and his grandson Tristian Coley.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Williams; his children, Derrick Snelson (Jennifer), Mandy Coley (Todd), Michele Granger (Trent) and Melissa Turner (Dustin); his grandchildren, Shelby Snelson, Kimber Snelson, Tyler Coley, Trenton Coley, Mikayla Coley, Coen Coley, Landen Granger, Paisley Granger, Ryleigh Turner and Jaxon Turner; and his brother Ricky Williams (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
