He is survived by: his wife Angela Mae Simmons Elrod of Commerce; his children, Christy Ayers (Trent) of Homer, Candi Jordan (Shawn) of Commerce, Felicia Jordan (Caleb) of Commerce and Jeremiah Elrod (Bethany) of Lula; and his siblings, Gayle Greene of Commerce, Vickie Cole of Athens, Janet Andrews of Athens, Angie Bradshaw of Colbert and Randy Elrod of Commerce. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
