It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Emmett of Commerce, Georgia, born in Winder, Georgia, who passed away on May 17, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Crane and Ethel Bailey Crane; her husband Herman Ray Emmett, Sr.; and her siblings, John, Frank, Bill, Doc, Grady Crane, Bea Clement, ClareMae Chastain, Bobbie Jackson and Mary Kennedy.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Emmett (Missy), Peggy Herrington (Mike) and Brenda Nescher (Jay); her sisters, Jewell Standard and Pat Pittman; her grandchildren, Jason Herrington (Danielle), Kristina Swaim (Joe), Aaron Emmett (Krystina), Jesse Crumley and Aubree Crumley; her great grandchildren, Wesley Herrington, Avery Swaim and Emilia Emmett; and her close friend Sarah Culpepper.
